Microtherm® SlimVac for energy efficiency at low and ambient temperatures

For almost 40 years the Microtherm Group has built a reputation for innovative thermal insulation solutions. Our systems are based on Microtherm® which is the leading microporous insulation in the world.

However, modern designers also use Microtherm® insulation for energy savings and the Microtherm® name has become synonymous with energy efficiency in design, particularly in buildings and white goods. Substantial cost savings can be made with the reduction in energy consumption when Microtherm® is used.

Microtherm SlimVac

Microtherm SlimVac®, is formally classified as a "superinsulation". The vacuum insulation panels can have thermal conductivity values as low as 4 mW/m.K giving them a thermal performance many times better than conventional insulation materials.

We are able to supply vacuum insulation panels that meet the highest standards of thermal performance and stability for a long working life.

When considering insulation for building applications where stable performance over many decades is specified, the ability of VIPs with our silica based microporous insulation core to maintain a low thermal conductivity over a wide range of core pressures ensures guaranteed dependability without the need for gettering.

Excellent energy savings in buildings are possible using Microtherm® insulation.

Microtherm SlimVac

When selecting insulation for domestic appliances, refrigerators and freezers benefit from vacuum insulation panels in order to achieve the highest energy ratings. The inclusion of these panels in the insulation systems of both domestic and commercial refrigeration also helps to create the maximum storage volume within the limitations of standardised external casing sizes.
